Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

I love how the 6-pearl pendant/dangle necklace fits perfectly in the cutout the neckline! I am getting more into mixing gemstones and pearls lately and am totally digging the dangles!

I'm wearing some baroque silver blue akoyas in tin cup form today. Not great pictures of very pretty pearls, but oh well. These are great because I can attach the bracelet to the necklace to make it opera length, too.

I wear pearls every day but I rarely take a picture of them. Today was my son's first birthday and he loves yellow so I wore a shirt with lemons on it, carried a yellow purse, and wore "yellow" pearls (golden akoyas). The earrings are from PP from a few years ago. I think they are Vietnamese...

    Removing tarnish from rondelles

@JerseyPearl thanks for the warning! I haven't had a chance to do anything with these yet - my 1 year old got diagnosed with strep and my husband got the flu all in the same week 🥴 I am definitely going to do the Dawn and water method first and then maybe try the Bar Keeper's Friend on a...

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

My action shots are not nearly as good as jeg's but I had to show the strand I got from Hisano's sale. Hisano also picked some silver keshis to go with the strand. The pearls are little (7.2-7.9 I think). The visual interest is big. The little knobby ones, the two-toned pearls, and the array of...

    Removing tarnish from rondelles

Thank ya'll for all the suggestions. I'll try washing them first just to make sure it's not just dirt and go from there!

    Removing tarnish from rondelles

I have some rondelles that I took off a a necklace I made a few years ago. I used steering silver wire and didn't think the tarnish would affect the aquamarine rondelles, but the drill holes of all the stones have black tarnish inside them and I can't think of how to get it out. I know it's not...

@heartofawareness it was hard to tell just how tiny those Alexander Collins baby tahitians are, but seeing them on you I can tell how adorable they are! Great layering strands.

My Turn for What Kind of Pearls Are These?

I can't stand when people don't put the pearls back in the same order. Before I knew how to string I sent my first set of pearls off to be restrung and they messed that poor strand up so bad. It's been years and I don't wear it much anymore so I haven't restrung it but it bothers me every time I...
