I've found prices from the fair vendors to be reasonable for the quality offered. You do pay for what you get. Beautiful lustrous unblemished pearls with nice colors and overtones don't come cheap... But it's reasonable for the quality, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten so many from these vendors...

Here is the Golay circled tahitian strand, 8-14mm, with orbit clasp. Taken on kitchen counter in diffused daylight. Irl it looks mostly silvery/grey.

Typically not matchy. Mostly diamond studs with strands. Or studs without necklaces. I feel a bit overwhelmed when I match pearl earrings to strands. Have tried pairing earrings and strands before and almost always ended up swapping for diamond studs instead.

Here's a shot of the new clasps in the bathroom. Not the best lighting for pearls so I threw in some older natural light pics for eye candy. These clasps really give more wearing options and I hope more vendors would offer them. :) Bweaves: is it painful? Any treatment with the word...

Interesting discussion. Maybe I'm optimistic but I tend to agree with this. None of my pearls are certified anyway. In the end it still goes down to buying from trusted vendors and also how they look/luster/etc.
