I object to the title of this forum...

I have just started knotting and beading and let me tell you....it is anything but lowly!! The beaders on this board are talented, smart, and great designers. There are some beautiful, creative, and innovative ideas and jewelry here. No, not lowly. I object.

Did I pay a fair price?

Welcome, you will learn lots and quickly become addicted to pearls. Actually, it appears to have a pretty setting and a nice brownish color. It si very pretty. How about a neck shot? That is the best way to see.

    Vapor encapsulated nuclei?

Has anyone heard of this? Vapor encapsulated nuclei? I was just surfing around and came to this website http://www.islandpearls.net/newtech.htm and found it strange. I guess the bizarre thing was a pearl in the shape of Mickey Mouse's head and a pearl with a raised dolphin in the center. It...

Tin cup pearls better than a full strand?

Inge, Gold filled would work for me. I do like the way the yellow gold works with the tahitians. Besides, unless you wear the necklace every single day, the gold should stay put. And it makes it more affordable.

Trying to Knot Pearls (insert cuss word here)

Sorry for being slow in answering your question, I just had time to sign on. I am using silk thread. Next time I will know to put more information into my question, so you can answer appropriately. All of suggestions sound good. It sounds like twisting is the culprit. Before I try again, I...

Trying to Knot Pearls (insert cuss word here)

I am having the hardest time. I will get about 10 inches completed with nice perfect little knots, then all of a sudden-- a tangle happens -- while I am trying to pass the whole string through. Somehow I just can't managed an almost full string. Once it tangles, I seem to lose all...

Tin cup pearls better than a full strand?

Under $400 would make them more affordable for the average woman. They are perfect for the "business casual" look we all have these days. Sometimes a full strand of pearls can look too dressy. Jeremy -- post some pics!! Keep 'em coming!!!

    Tahitian Keishi Choker

I am showing this picture to my husband. I want him to wear a tahitian pearl on a leather strand, but he says he doesn't know any ment that wear pearls. (though he loves and wears often puka beads.) I have hunted and hunted in the internet for a few pictures to show that yes, he can wear a...

    Help with Graduation gift

All good suggestions. And great points about trendy items. I think the baroque tahitian on a cord will work, because it could be switched over to chain if it gets dirty or worn. Thanks again for all the ideas. Y'all are great!!!
