Looks like they're on a wire rather than string of any sort....... maybe someone was collecting them? Yes, there does seem to be a definite difference between the large and small pearls, aren't there? Colour is white in the larger ones, cream in the smaller ones...... hmmm......

Could THESE possibly be Tay pearls? Were there enough of them to be in a triple strand? I've only ever seen singles or a couple on brooches etc. If they were, would they have a paste clasp? Or would they have used the real thing? Jodie
