J Hunter Pearls: Ocean, People, Culture.

I had the opportunity to visit Justin and his wonderful pearl farm in Savusavu last April. Justin was an incredible host and has so much care of the clean sustainability of the pearl industry. I brought back some of these pearls. They will forever be my favorite pearls.

Mikimoto Grade Comparison -- Take a guess!

Yes, Japanese pearls are most always pinked. It is a very desirable color in Asia. Not easy to assess the grading of these pearls. In person, you could roll them to determine any blinking or off round features. I wouldn't begin to give any credible determination. It does point out how much...

Wall Street Journal Article on current Pearl Trends and desirability

This article in yesterday's WSJ is really great. It would have been greater if it had mentioned some of our pearl artists, but the trend is in our favor. https://www.wsj.com/articles/how-classic-pearls-became-improbably-hip-11544546249

Pearls Play a Starring Role in AGTA Seminars

    My pearls

I know I was being a little flippant suggesting you wear all of your pearls together, but I do think that layering some of your strands would be fabulous. I'm sure you have already done this. Always a way to wear more pearls. Lovely pearls.

Seriously, talk to Sarah about this. She may be using a different stringer and should be noted. Sarah is so incredibly thoughtful and attention to detail that I think she would like to hear what you have to say.

Yes, camera obsession is closely running with the pearls. They are both very tactile and beautiful. As with pearls, all sizes have their place. Keep the luster coming.

    Tahitian Studs too big?

It is so hard to go to a larger size pearl and feel comfortable, but Kamoka Pearls are such beautiful pearls that we need to help you feel wonderful when you wear them. It's good to step out and try something new, especially when it is such a beautiful thing as a top notch Tahitian Pearl. Once...

    Favorite pearl studs

I have been wearing a lot of these two pearl studs lately. The red, orange and yellow sapphires make me happy and colorful and the diamonds in the Tahitians, just make me feel elegant, even if I am going to the grocery store.

    Budget for a WSS necklace

Cees might send you the strand “on memo”, meaning that you have a chance to see the strand before you jump in. He would require a cc for insurance, but that would be the way to make sure these pearls are what you want in size and luster and checking for any blemishes. It’s not a small...
