Are these coin baroque pearls? The necklace is very long at 36" and the clasp is non-magnetic. The pearls have some beautiful colors and are very lustrous. Are they possibly Japanese? Thank you and stay safe.

Hi group, I have a very long necklace (70") with some bronze colored pearls and thought they were simply dyed freshwater, but am wondering if they would possiby be tahitian and undyed. I am guessing that the white pearls are ringed freshwater pearls, but am not sure. Am hoping you can share...

I guess that's the case. Shame they have gone down in value so much - probably supply and demand. I was thinking of combining and wearing the necklaces with silver ones of similar colors. May just have some fun with them. Thanks for your reply.

Thank you for the replies. I thought they were rice krispie pearls also but was perplexed because the price tag was so high at $715.00. Also, the larger necklace a different shape to it and the pearls are bigger. Would they still be considered rice krispie pearls?

Hi Cathy, Thanks for the compliment and nice to meet you. I am definitely into pearls, but, have nothing of great value. I do enjoy learning about them and am amazed of the wealth of information on this group. Simply to be able to recognize the type of pearl from images is quite the talent.

Thanks again Pearl Dreams. That is a very interesting process - I had no idea. Did some researching and found out that the value of the saltwater Keshi may increase because of the practice of X-raying and getting rid of the baroque shaped Keshi, as you mentioned. Nature is so very interesting...
