Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Yesterday’s look, take 2, since I broke the thread on the keshi strand right after taking the photo yesterday so I didn’t actually get to wear it. Today I added some big ripple rings - the pearls are from Kong on Etsy, silver rings are cheap findings. They’re not amazing pearls but are fun to wear.

SS, it never occurred to me to pair the flattened keshi with multicolored pearls, I'm loving it. I've used them with rounds in one color, but I loved how LMG mixed them up.

Purr, you're the sweetest! I love how excited you get about the stuff I make you, that makes me feel good <3 That's why I make jewelry - the smiles and happy feels! Speaking of smiles and happy feels, lmgarden's keshi and multicolored fwp totally did that for me, so I attempted something...

Red, that pendant is gorgeous! I loved seeing your pieces in person, your jeweler does such a great job setting your pearls (esp your SoC mabes with complementary gemstone colors!). And that shirt is so cool. If you want to make alternative pearl strand dangles for it, I'll send you some...

Thanks, la_corsetiere! Love your stack, too - the huge T looks awesome with the crescent. Jesskitty those blue Ts are incredible.

Today’s look - I went rummaging through boxes and bags of strands I bought but never used because I wanted some rad layers like I saw at Ruckus. These, for some reason, don’t photograph well at all but they’re all very colorful and pretty in person!

Here’s a kind of terrible photo of today’s pearls. Gorgeous Kamoka Tahitian keshi bracelet with sterling flower ring with a freshwater keshi center. This is similar to the horn one I wore at Ruckus, but the band is plain silver.

I'm so glad you love your ring, Purr! It was a lot of fun to make :) Plus I loved playing with your Kasumi keshi <3 And it's good to see Miss Thorne again!

    365 Days of Pearls

Oh yes, a photography tutorial would be really really helpful! Despite having all the equipment and watching all the tutorials I can find, I still feel like my pearl photos suck (especially when taken with a phone).

    365 Days of Pearls

I would like to propose that, if BN decides to stop at 365 days, she start a new thread called "BN shows everyone how layering is done." I would appreciate the tutorials!

Deeeeelicious, BN! And omg I can't believe I missed the post-yacht show and tell! I was so tired, I think I passed out immediately after.

PD, what a beautiful drop! Thanks from all of us as well! <3 Red, your travel look is to die for. It was such a pleasure getting to see some of your amazing collection in person. I really love the settings your jeweler did for your SoC mabes, they're fab.

Keeping it simple today with this ring. Hand-sculpted silver flower in a horn ring, with one of the beautiful freshwater keshi Hisano found for me in HK last year. It’s so hard to get an accurate photo of the pearl, I’m not sure why.

Pearls & Mini Origamis! Stars cranes & flowers!!!

Oh tooth tattoo. There's a woman who works at my local drugstore who has a rhinestone on one of her teeth. The first time I saw it, I kept thinking she had something stuck to her tooth, too. I mean I guess it's pretty? Just not where I'd expect to see jewelry!

Oooooh dental tools! People keep telling me to ask my dentist for old tools, since they're great for carving metal clay. I wouldn't know what to ask for though, there are so many kinds!
