    Photo friendly?

Thanks for the info Lisa! I saw Jeremy's and wendy's videos already. they were quite informative. I think I need more "hands on" practice in company of a mentor though. Good idea! I will go and read more carefully 'the lowly beaders club' thread.

    Photo friendly?

Can't help asking. I, for myself, do have interest in learning how to knot myself. Have any recommendations to learn?

What type of pictures make you want to buy jewelry?

I might add closeups/magnified views of the 'imperfections' or special features of a piece if they are any. Also, it might sound obvious, but good quality picture with optimal lighting and appropriate backgroud to see the colors/overtones of the pearls.

    A special Tahitian pearl necklace!

Quite impressive indeed! This one is meant to be modeled. What is the size range of the pearls? Do I see bigger pearls in the fifth strand (counting from the shorter strand)? Curious to know more about the process to pick and place the pearls in such a magnificent piece: according to color, size?

What an Ebay pearl buyer needs to know~

I don't know if anyone mentionned, but READ the description carefully and TILL THE END! Also, make sure the return policy is good. Oh yeah, good point Caitlin, IT IS a hassle to send back a item to China unless you know the vendor is reputable. Having a list of reputable Ebay sellers would be...

Tahitian Pearls Engagement Ring - Durable

I agree, The PP setting is classic, and simply beautifull. It's a winner! I too agree with Jeremy, the SofC pearl would be a great idea, especially for an engagement ring. It's rare, distinctive, and mostly durable. The only downside would be the cost if it's an issue... A Kamoka pearl would...
