    Linda's Lowly Beading Adventures

Thank you for the recipes, Marianne! The fritters remind me of the insides of blintzes, which were wrapped in an egg-type pancake and fried. Neck shot of the ametrine:

    My Pearls... sharing

Truely amazing! I'm dying to see those SoC bugs! The tahitian bugs are gorgeous, too. I've always liked bugs.

Cathy, thank you! You also inspire me to start a sourdough starter again... I had one long ago. Marianne, would you be willing to share recipes? My father's family was from eastern Europe. At the end of the 19th, beginning of the 20th centuries it was Austria. Now we are not sure, maybe Poland...

    Linda's Lowly Beading Adventures

I haven't made cinnamon rolls for a long time. 40 years ago I found out I was hypoglycemic, so had to cut out the sweet stuff. No, at this point I don't miss it at all! But I had my daughter take a few neck shots, despite the grubby t-shirt:

Yes, I should wear my pearls anyway. Thank you! For the flour, I got fed up with trying to find it in the grocery stores, and ordered 50lbs on Amazon (restaurant supply). If anyone needs some, and can pick it up (West Los Angeles), I can provide it. Note: even Amazon was out of the 5-10 lb bags.

The bread is baking now, and the smell is heavenly. I haven't worn anything but "bumming around the house" clothes for days, so I dunno.

And here are the aquas and stick pearls... I didn't take neck shots because I am wearing an old t-shirt that I've been making bread in (the bread maker does most of the work, and I do enough to get some of the flour).

    New Lavender Purple Baroque Strand

Wow, that's a beauty. Who did you get it from? I love purple, too!

I'm going to take the plunge!

Way to go! It is a lot of fun What kind of clasp are you thinking of? Or are you planning an endless strand? I found that to be quite tricky, by the way. If you use a clasp, I would recommend gimp for a nice finish. You will also need needles, of course. I find one needle lasts for 2-3 projects...

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

I have a carved tahitian. It is not as impressive as the Kojima one, but I think it is pretty. I haven't worn it all that much, but then I don't wear a single pearl as often as I wear strands. Note: this is a close up. It is about 10mm.

I re-did the larimar strand with the heavier beader's secret, and it worked well. So well, that I made a bracelet and earrings! Next I have some stick pearls and aquamarines.

    Stuff I Made

Lovely earrings! I really like the ombre effect. They look like fun to wear. Just don't wear near young children, human or otherwise.

Odd, the picture didn't post. Try again: Doesn't look like it's going to work. I think the internet speed is too slow. I'll have to try later. Sorry...

    Linda's Lowly Beading Adventures

He is indeed a very special husband... I am very lucky! I had just enough tahitians and keshi to make a bracelet and earrings:

    Linda's Lowly Beading Adventures

BWeaves, I see your point. I have orbit clasps on my regular strands. I confess that I wanted to see how an endless strand worked. My husband thinks he has a knot that will work better than the one he did before. He was in the Canadian naval reserve, so presumably he knows! (note: I am not good...

Little h jewelry on sale at TwistOnline.com

Oh wow! I've always loved the 'pearls filled with pearls' and those tahitians are wonderful!

    Linda's Lowly Beading Adventures

This is not quite complete. For an endless strand like this, I have my husband tie and glue the last 2 knots because his hand eye coordination is much better than mine. We finished this, but it came undone the first time I tried to wear it. It is smallish tahitians from Wen and tahitian keshi...

    Linda's Lowly Beading Adventures

More wire link, this time aquas: I got some nice tahitians from Wen and some keshi from Ehret, and i think I will string them together for my next project.

Pattye, I hadn't thought of layering the tahitians with the gemstones. It's an interesting idea, and I'll have to do some experimenting. I have a second very colorful strand, and I planned to hook them together as a rope, but the clasp on the other one broke. My husband thinks he can fix it, whew!
