I use the #1. only because I am hopeless with knotting it the old fashion way. I am still a novice at knotting and will keep trying to practice the old one, because the #1 method does give a different looking knot. I also do no. 2 though...I string the last 3 pearl and the clasp and go back...

I have sang the "Happy Birthday to me..." last Sept to my Husband for Sea of Cortez pearl ...didn't work...so I am going to sing "all I want for Christmas is ...." , maybe it will work this time, ...hey a girl can dream can't she....lol I hear you Katbran... lol....

Hi Cees :) Can you tell us a bit more about these pearls coming from Myanmar? I can see that they have lovely colors and luster, but how does it rate comparing them to the golden south seas and the Burmese ones? Are they really that rare or just that particular color Icyjade had? Thanks!

It is probably a treatment / coating of some kind to enhance the luster of the pearl. Usually these treated pearls have an oily slick look on it.
