Harvest Strand - the Tahitian sampler

Never heard of a harvest strand but it is very flattering. I like that those identical silver drops found there way next to each other on both sides of the strand bbut the rest seem random.

WSS pearl drop pendant- I need your help!!

I sort of prefer satiny,,,but look around & get the pearl you like. So much harder to buy pearls than diamonds as there are so many variables. Checked PS out & bottom of that pearl looks more creamy colored. Pearls for Princesses has princess price but most of the quality looks good. Wonder...

    Black Pearls...Dyed Freshwater?

It wasn't much $ but least they were pearls. That reminds me I have nice mountings for I think 12mm pearls. I bought a pair of black & they turned out to have a coating that you could peel off & reveal the bead. I don't even think it was a nacre. The woman was so surprised. I'm not sure how that...

    Tahiti natural fancy colour sets

Gosh, how does one pick fav tahitian colors? I started out liking those with aubergine & peacock but there are so many subtle colors in between them. I guess they are pearls you really should see in person.

    Finding Tahitian pearl drop pairs

Might be better from paired from start for mostof us as chance of colors macthing are greater & you just have to have a huge selection of pearls to match them up especially if they are not rounds. That big one is nice on its own as a pendant. Would be killer ear pendants though...

There's no way these are South Sea pearls, right?

This is great. Every question leads to more knowledge & more questions but all are a learning experience. Sometimes a mistake can be the greatest lesson & learning experience of them all. I guess the big wigs get familar & personal with the farms or those that buy direct from them. This way...

The 7 strand natural pearls that sold for over 9 millions $ in Geneva yesterday

Its alot of money!!!! Still if you want the biggest pink type 2A its not going to be cheap. Gosh but that is an incredible sum! Still its an investment as the top big faancy diamonds tend to increase in value & pinks are incredibly rare in any good size & quality. 1 ct can sell for $200,000 way...

Duchess of Cambridge Diamond and Pearl Earrings

Hmmmm to marry a prince!!! Diamonds look smaller than a carat to me ( unless she had big ears) but its a very wearable earring.

One or two fabulous piece or many lesser pieces?

I think quality all the way but I am often living within tight budget so I buy a cheaper diamond pair of earrings & then another small one trying to satisfy myself..then I look back & have a few pairs of smaller diamonds but if I had waited I would have gotten one large pair of diamonds & been...

J.C.O 1925 box of graduated pearl necklace

I have seen the ct weight on jewelry but its usually on production line pieces where quite a few were made not so much on limited or handmade as they show for themselves & don;t have to prove anything. If those big pearls are 6mm then look how big that clasp looks. Might just be a distance...

    Black Pearls...Dyed Freshwater?

I might try it but need to get black string. The drill holes seem large enough for double but guess I need a needle that fits. Right now the string is a bit worn but seems secure. They are decent to wear when you don;t want to worry about good stuff on the bus or when you are knockin around.

There's no way these are South Sea pearls, right?

Ebay is not going to guarantee south sea. Its too vague & unless you get a GIA certificate to prove its really one opinion against another. Most purchases are not worth the cost of an appraisal. If you like them & the price is right then you buy but don;t count on south seas pearls being south...
