Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Thanks CatMom! I hope you add some to your collection soon! Hisano helped me choose these back in 2016 for my father’s memorial. I asked for a small pair of Tahitians for my mom, and rings for my sister and me. My mother has since passed, so now I wear the studs. Adding a close up- A keshi...

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Thanks so much, Cathy and SurfnSci! I just love that vivid teal of abalone pearls. It has been such a treat to meet the people at Atacama Pearls and to follow their journey and developments in cultured abalone pearls and one of a kind jewelry designed around their pearls. Baggins Akoya wave...

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Thanks, BWeaves. I have a small version of this type of finding. I rarely use this one because I tend to attach my pendants to long chains or strands. I think it would work well for a pendant attached to a necklace that hangs closer to the neck. Attaching a pic- (pendant is from PP)

I hope you’re feeling better pearlgirl12. Yes, the finding on that particular Kasumi pendant does clip on, but it is not removable from the smaller ring. I have purchased some different findings in order to attach some of my bails to strands and chains. Some in that style that pushes...

Haha, I hope you’re behaving then, Steve:LOL: I’ve been going through some of my rings. I used to wear rings all the time but for a long time now, they have been my least worn pieces of jewelry. This ring is an Edison pearl from PP. I made the tin cup with loose pearls from one of last year’s...

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

A smooth Kasumi pearl I purchased at a Ruckus and had Sarah set it on a wavy band. The beaded necklace is also from Kojima, and I put together the two Tahitian keshi strands.

How to fix loose end of knot myself?

If the knot is between the last two pearls, that means the knots did not go back through the last three pearls. This could be of concern if the knot releases because the strand will come apart. If you do not want to return it to the stringer, I’d use a thread burner or trim it a little and...

Thanks, Steve! No, the feather pearl is not a Kasumi. I love feather pearls!

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

That’s a fun gift from your parents, eolian! The tails give it a spiky edgy look. A strand of silvery color banded Tahitians from PP, and a feather pearl on a Kasumi keshi necklace from Kojima.

Your colour preferences for Tahitians and why?

I’m glad you like the idea! I’d like to make one for myself! The only consideration would be weighting the asymmetry so the necklace stays centered.

Your colour preferences for Tahitians and why?

Pomelo, when I was pulling out some of my tin cups, I thought maybe you could start with a tin cup as an introduction to multi-colored Tahitians instead of a full strand? This is one I made with extra loose pearls I had, but you could choose individual T’s with lots of color and contrast to make...
