I’m getting seriously addicted to this! I put together a bracelet from some of my broken eBay strands. I’m waiting for a sterling silver version of the clasp to arrive, but really enjoying wearing this!

I don’t have anything helpful to say, being new to this beading addiction, but the clasp is really beautiful!

I’m finished this project, at least for now. The 5th strand wasn’t a good match in size or colour so it’s a four strand for now. But there will always be pearls on eBay🤣

Slight variation to the design, in case anyone was thinking of doing something like this. It’s really fiddly and difficult to get the necklace on once it’s got more than one or two strands. I’ve added hinged silver jump rings, just to make it easier to fasten the carabiner.

You could wear them on a strand of pearls with the right carabiner. I have become obsessed with them🤣

There are so many options. The skull sounds very cool!

I was going to fill all the space with more strands but by chance it sits nicely with the necklace I wear every day. It’s my grandfather’s wedding ring. I can add a fifth strand between the bottom two.

Today’s addition. I’ve run out of pearls and jump rings now, so until the next batch arrive, it has four strands. I think I can space it out for at least two more. This is so much fun.

That’s so kind of you! My early attempts at knotting were…variable🤣 I’ve got into a rhythm now, but omg the strand I’m working on now might be the one that breaks me. Half the pearls have normal- large drill holes, the rest have really tiny holes I can barely get the finest needle through. So...

Thank you! The carabiner bracelet is pretty cool, though I do say so myself- gift for a friend, but I’m definitely going to do one for myself. Breaking up a strand, however short or otherwise unsuitable to restore, gives me pause. But I figure I can’t hurt the pearls and I can always put it all...

And here’s how it’s going. Mistakes were made, but it’s a learning curve. I can cram any number of strands in here, but they all need to be slightly different lengths so they sit evenly spaced. I think I can fit one or two between the shortest and the second shortest though.

Thank you. Must admit I’m surprised by how much I like it. I’m usually a vintage lover and I expected to spend a small fortune hunting down vintage and antique filigree clasps, but this has really surprised me.

Thank you! I’ve had a few false starts and a lot of horrible tangles but I’m getting better! The pearls on this strand are lovely- the others are nice but not so lustrous. But then, there are plenty more vintage pearls out there and it’s fun hunting them down
