I wonder how long they each spend on every pearl? Or each batch of pearls? Few seconds? Half a minute? Granted with practice they'd learn to determine what to look for and whatnot but I am a bit curious.

For a clasp I would think one that can hold multiple strands and keep them in place. Perhaps something along the lines of these types? Fancy type:

The pictures everyone has posted so far are great! You all are so lucky; wear them with love and pride. Wear them for me! Lol. Blue really is a lovely color for pearls. I wasn't sure before but now, I am totally sold. I'll always love pink but now these akoyas have a soft spot in my heart.
