    So pretty, but so...undrilled!

You guys are the best for enabling me to choose the skulls. They're so small they mostly just look like a gold bead unless you look closely. I wish they were winning on my FB page too.

    Trustworthy Vendors Please

It's very hard for any vendor to take completely accurate photos of pearls since they look different in various lights, and each pearl rotates completely. I've found that the most reputable ones have very long return periods, so you have ample time to evaluate in person. To me 30-45 days to...

Thanks for all the great advice !

I love it when people come back with photos :) It looks like you did some very teensy wire work with those crystal cube beads. Impressive and I love the chunky pearls!

    So pretty, but so...undrilled!

Well, I'm back sooner than I thought. It was a fantastic mail day, as far as small packages go. So many great things came all at once. The pearls were drilled to perfection, of course, but I'm still impressed by the care and precision it must have taken. Here are my two favorite options for the...

Are drop metallics a good gift for somebody who doesn't know pearls?

I think they'd make a wonderful gift, although non-pearlies don't necessarily understand what makes certain pearls more special than others. I would rather gift drops than rounds, as rounds would seem quite extravagant to me.

It only counts if he does it in public or the presence of others, lol! Photos would be greatly appreciated ;)

    The designer's corner

Thank you! This paper isn't white, white, but it's more neutral than the other photo. Taking photos of pearls is one of the few things that will get me to venture outdoors in the freezing cold.

Ahhhh help with magnetic clasp snafu, please!

Pattye, I use the Vigor brand of two part epoxy and I really like it. Now, at first I thought it was a wonder glue and I started gluing all sorts of non-jewelry related things with it. Handle back onto coffee pot, switch back onto lamp, cracked vase... Some of these attempts have been successful...

    The designer's corner

This necklace is mine, all mine, with hedgehogs from my trip to Kojima and a few white keshi and faceted labradorites thrown in the mix. I keep coming back to this combination of white, silver, lavender and blue.

    So pretty, but so...undrilled!

I'm not sure, but I think my drilled pearls might arrive from PP today. It was incredibly kind of Jeremy to offer his help. I may try to make the ear wires myself, though I realized I don't have all the gauges of wire I thought I did. I'll come back eventually with photos, promise!

    latest pearls...

Pattye, I just saw this and gave you a like. How did you get so many without having posts on your page? I am so new to Facebook and just muddle my way through it, but half the time I'm completely confused. Juliebeth, you're a natural designer and I'm sure you'll do well. If I could just sell...

finally, a tahitian rope. for MOI.

Yay, juliebeth! I'm so happy you got a rope, and it's so cool that you made it yourself. It's beautiful and you gave it such creative touches! Someday I'll join the club too.

A Kamoka Pearl for only $10? - Maybe....

Thank you so much for the reminder! I'll probably find at least one prize to try for, although I hope a Kamoka pearl will still be added. It would give all of us PGers a chance to bring it back in the fold after last year's failure.

    So pretty, but so...undrilled!

What?!? Oh my gosh, thank you! A sweetheart is right, but maybe more like a kind pearl guardian. Lol, Lisa, your idea was good but you're probably partially right. For pearl's sake, let's leave this to the pros.

Tahitians and akoya keshi, plus I'd love some opinions!

Very beautiful, battah! I love the contrast of size and color and they look fabulous on you.

    So pretty, but so...undrilled!

Hi there! They're still undrilled (hides face in shame). I would feel weird asking the pearl vendors here since I bought them elsewhere, but I checked with several lapidaries and jewelers and none wanted to try. I got pretty excited when I found a girl with a super high tech ultrasonic drill...
