What a lovely clasp! Have you tested it to be sure it is platinum, and are those stones diamonds? What about the end caps? I see some green discoloration on a closeup of the clasp in the first post. I don't have a lot of experience in natural pearls either but some of the candling does look like...

I think changing out clasps on pearls makes them look so much nicer! And you get the bonus of wearing a fancy clasp in front like a pendant.

I agree with everything mentioned here. I don't know if it is worth your expense to use an auctioneer. The pearls look like a nice quality but the clasp is very generic. To get higher prices, you need to have a strand of larger sized, good quality pearls, a nice clasp, and a lot of luck.

Amazing pearls, amazing prices. With such a hefty price tag, I would have expected a photo of the clasp or a better description of it. Their term "yellow metal clasp" seems a bit lacking.

I sort of like the ripples by themselves- Letting them shine and pick up a few colors from your outfits. They are a good size to wear long and with enough presence. They seem to have an almost pastel overtone to them so they might look great with pastel color gems too.
