Ah, I wish I had put in a special request before you left, Wendy! I'm waiting on finding something I want to purchase before I buy some findings that I need.
No one here is going to actively help you with such an endeavor, pearlqueen. Please take a look at the links Pearl Dreams posted. They have a lot of good information on why it's such an awful practice.
I'm with Katbran. The right pair looks a bit mismatched. I would choose the left, TBH, as the luster looks better. At least in the shot above.
My sister is half Filipino, so very dark hair, and she looks great in bright greens and pistachios.
I wish I had the money to go to Ruckus and all the shows! There are apparently no gem shows in Vienna, which I find odd, and only one in Innsbruck that I certainly can't take the time off to attend. Boo!
Oh, what a shame! It looked so beautiful in the photos! I saw a Cortez pearl once that had basically liquid silver filling in some what I assume were imperfections. That could be an idea.
I'm going to try the flosser idea and also try to taper my brush a bit. I'm having trouble with the lacquer drying too quickly on the brush when I'm using just one (thicker) hair that I took out. I will of course post pictures when I get something worthwhile!
This is significantly harder than I thought it was going to be. I ordered some pearls from Wen, but while I'm waiting for those to get here I went ahead and bought some beads to practice on and it's awful. I feel like I need a smaller brush, but I got the smallest I couldn't find.
