As quoted: ...the Paspaley Pearl with a uniform diameter of 20.40 mm, might as well have been produced during this minimum period of two years. In comparison with the average size of South Sea pearls produced, which is 13 mm, the size of the Paspaley Pearl is approximately 50% larger. Thus the...

Thanks Pattye. If I may ask, is your pearl a perfect round, just being curious about the ratio. My other concern is the claim: Unless I am mistaken, "La Robert Wan" pearl is a 22.5 mm diameter round pearl with a mass of 16.1 grams. Hence bigger than Broome's pearl.

Priceless pearl returns home An article from 2011 written by Amy Williams, Broome. Unlike many precious gems you will find in shops on Broome’s Dampier Terrace, this one is not for sale. Instead, Cygnet Bay Pearls, Australia’s oldest cultured pearl farm (started in 1946), has brought the...

    home aquarium

You'll need to make a muddy bottom tank with a simulated pressure of up to 3 bar, make sure that your anaerobic biome doesn't become over acidic and eventually ensure that food (mostly gastropods) is readily available. Maybe not the best project for a first aquarium... :D

Abalone Pearls ? Can They Be Legally Bought and Sold?

I am not sure if this article was already mentioned here. A bit old now but of some juridical interest. Link to article. Posted on June 2011. An unusually large red abalone pearl taken by Peter Truong of Elk Grove, CA from Mendocino County in 2010. This pearl was certified by the Guinness Book...

It is being done, not just for commercial purposes. Satmar developed the idea back in the 80's for extensive study of specific endemic species. This said saltwater aquarium may be divided into two categories, filtered saltwater or artificial saltwater. Although low pressure would result into...

    What are these?

This is very interesting, may we know if this is such as snake oil medicine or issued from documented uses (academic / medical)? I wouldn't say that in our present society a single area in the world is "pollution free", pollution does not necessarily mean toxic waste although the general...

Most welcome, but Jerico Abila should have mentioned copying entire paragraphs from the article of Paul E. Holewa written in 2001. Sadly internet has become an unreliable source of information. Plagiarism is not an option for "quality journalism".

Most definitely. I would never implicate understanding the foundation of such ancient practices. I have heard feedback from acquaintances being uplifted by such method. Alas and despite having being exposed to a variety of culture and beliefs myself, I remain quite unsure of such practice, I...
