Guess: 550 B.C. carved shell from Fiji?????

Hi Knotty, Caitlin thought you may be able to help me. I have several broken strands of pearls, one should be Mikimoto, that are all jumbled into a zip lock bag. Would you or would you know someone that could sort them out and restring them? Thank you, Francesca

I think I might want to side with Caitlin :) I know that East Indies and India and the Native Americans all used shells for money, especially cowrie shells.

My leather cord with pearls arrived from PP!!! I looked at them - beautiful - I put them on - I took them off - I looked at them - my husband looked at them - I put them on. Still on. Any mirror in the house is now my "pearl viewing" mirror. They are very simple, casual, special all at once...

It is the combination of two things I love the best!!!!! It is poetry for me.
