    Vermeil and lead

I like the combination of precious stones and Kamoka pearls. It certainly looks like a set that can be worn to many occasions. The clasps and beads from Ninadesigns actually look quite attractive and I would not see a need to upgrade to solid gold. It seems they do the gold coat themselves, so...

Is it a pearl or is it Kryptonite?

Well, I woke up one morning quite differently than the night before. All the skin on my upper front body looked like it had been burned. After a rush to the computer and a couple of google image searches I could only find one condition that produced similar results: Inflammatory breast cancer...

Is it a pearl or is it Kryptonite?

Ha, I have a story about a Victoria's secret bra to tell regarding the effects of heavy metals. I can say without a doubt heavy metals pearls would only be for girls with strong nerves.

Is it a pearl or is it Kryptonite?

Yes, I agree with Dave. The spotty nature suggests that the compound(s) is not evenly embedded. What type of light source is that in terms of wavelength?

Is it a pearl or is it Kryptonite?

    Multi-million Dollar Pearl

Wow. Well, the high end luxury market will certainly survive the meltdown of the financial markets. So, this pearl is certainly a keeper and probably even better than gold.

Bead Nucleus Freshwater Pearls Artical in New York Times today

Quality always has a market. Whether it be Chinese or Western. It is a great time for consumers. And acid rain. I am afraid we have seen nothing yet. But at least they also manufacture solar panels. I am more concerned about their future nuclear reactors.

    Is this Top Peacock Tahitian??

I think whether you want to leave the pearl in or not depends probably whether the necklace is for you or a customer. If it is for you, then Caitlin's advice is a good one. If you want to sell the necklace you probably want to disclose the flaw or try to replace the pearl. If the nacre is gone...

    Is this Top Peacock Tahitian??

They are not imitation pearls. They also have a clean surface and good luster.

Can you tell me anything about these?

Yes, they are real. These are off-round freshwater pearls from China. Their worth depends on the size of the pearls, but since the pearls are not round, but more potato shaped, it is not tremendous. They are still nice, though.
