    Jewelmer Store Stuffs

The climate change is evident in the Philippines. It is definitely hotter during summer months and the seas warmer than usual. The typhoons hitting the country is stronger these past few years. Haiyan did hit the Jewelmer farms but the Philippines have several typhoons every year. Other farms...

    Jewelmer Store Stuffs

I eventually got the strand. :) thank you for the thoughts, ladies. I would have gotten the pendant but when I took a second look at the strand and saw it has orient too, I took it as generally, orient is hard to find in GSSPs, much more in deep gold. Thanks again for helping me out with my...

    Jewelmer Store Stuffs

Here is the strand under consideration. It is also hard to find because it's in deep gold. Deep gold is currently only 3% of Jewelmer's harvest according to the salesperson so even the strand is hard to come by. More so, it also got orient of green and a bit of pink and orient is quite difficult...

    2.5-3.0 mm Akoya ombre

2.5-3mm? Interesting. They're as small as rice pearls in perfect rounds? That's one strand I'd like to have! Beautiful. :)

    Jewelmer Store Stuffs

Thanks everyone for your thoughts! Very much appreciated. MSC, the pricing in the Philippines should be lower than most Western countries because of differences in tax for luxury items. Their pearls are of retail prices but the luster is incomparable and the deep color guaranteed natural...

    Jewelmer Store Stuffs

Pattye, Pearl Dreams, Sigh. The pendant because Jewelmer cannot even match it to make earrings. I've been to four Jewelmer stores and only one has that quality. However, budget-wise, 1 deep gold baroque strand = to the price of 4 such pearls, except that Jewelmer has only one. The round 14mm of...

I'm glad many found the "tour" interesting. :) Anyway, here's an article about GSSP treatment. The thing is, a lot of GSSPs are dyed before drilling so UV instruments are needed to detect treatment. So far, treatment is by heat or dye. More so, those dyed after drilling are bleached to lighten...

    Jewelmer Store Stuffs

This is the deep gold high orient pendant at Jewelmer. I'm not sure whether to buy this or a strand. There is only one pearl in the display area of this quality in 3 stores....13mm...They have a loose one at the back room but pricey!

I cannot find articles that says light yellow turning deep gold thru irradiation. I know light ones can turn grey though. The enhancements might either be thru a new irradiation technology or a very good dyeing process.

One is the color. Some dyed GSS have colors that doesn't seem right. And you are correct. If the pearl have pits, there can be dye concentrations. However, there are now GSS pearls that are irradiated, according to the sellers. Pearl experts here, you are more than welcome to give us info! If...
