Your question raises an interesting question. Does a jeweler add the pearl each time? If so, that really is very labor intensive. Hard to believe pearls purchased individually over many years from different harvests would match. As I understand it, the only reason the necklace isn't worn...

I have seen them advertised as naturals by auction houses. Anything under 2MM is considered natural regardless of their origin.

Pearllunar (Pearlluna) (PearlsOnly) has a really helpful color chart. Scroll down the page I've linked to and look at the 40+ pearl colors they have shown with descriptions so you can see if your monitor displays the color correctly. No guessing what shade the peach/pink is, that's for sure...

Regardless of what size the clasp is, it is much too small for the pearls and would be difficult to latch.
