Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Sea of Cortez pendant yesterday. Sorry that this is a bad picture, which didn't even bring out the beauty of these pearls. I bought them from Douglas McLaurin at the 2014 Ruckus. Hisano personally put this piece together.

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

I am wearing my multicolor rope today. Pendant is about 13-14mm (from Tahiti Pearl Market/Margo Pearl in Honolulu). The bale is from Bella Findings brick and mortar location in Los Angeles.

    Fancy Color Souffles

imluckylady, you can turn your earrings into pendants with this item from Pearlclassic.com http://pearlclassic.com/noname31.html Just remove the eye pin and slide your earring onto the pendant. I think your eye pin is large enough to go through. If in doubt measure it and ask Pearl Classic for...

A Weekend spent in Paradise at The 2014 RUCKUS by 2 crazy pearl lovers

Cyndi, I giggled when I read what you wrote. What a treat to read about your weekend. Love the idea that Lucy and Ethel did their own pearl shoots. Hurry so we can read and see more pics.

    Little H - Sliced pearls

I am home now . I took a look and realized I missed one picture. It is out of focus but you can see the pretty circular bale and the gemstone is like butterfly wing on white water. The pendant at the top has seed pearls.

    Pearl Ruckus 2014

Thank you Jeremy and Hisano for your hospitality, generosity, attention to details that made this an amazing Ruckus weekend. This is the 2nd best one for us out of 4 that we have been to. The best was last year's wedding. I only have pictures of Little H's sliced pearls, rings, etc. that were...

    Little H - Sliced pearls

The FW pearl with oil slick that Jeremy got for Hisano at the HK show. I could not focus and get the true slick in my photo.

    Little H - Sliced pearls

Silhouette strands, sliced Tahitians with black diamonds and white diamonds. I love the ombr? effect of the top pair of FW in the right photo.

    Little H - Sliced pearls

I did not take pictures at the Ruckus except for Hisano's pearls and of ourselves. I am sharing all the pictures I have. Sorry for no close-ups. There were many people around the table and many hands were moving in and out :) Sliced souffl?s, Tahitians, knuckle ring, bangle with tiny FW pearls, etc.

    Pearl Ruckus 2014

I've bought bags and they came with protective plastic tubing (similar to bubble wrap) around the chain. Those are large enough for strands. I googled and a whole role is pretty expensive. Some places charge $60-$70 a roll. Yikes. I wonder if local Office Depot carries these tubes...

    Tahitian white pearls?

Possible but kind of rare. Here is a strand of white Tahitian keshi on display at Tahiti Pearl Market (Honolulu location) in 2009.

    Pearl Ruckus 2014

Not pearl related but you can store gold chain inside drinking straws. Cut the straw to fit the length of the chain or thread through more than one straw for longer chain. Make sure the straws cover only the chain, not the clasp. Fasten the clasps together after threading through the straws. I...

Chanel and Vogue Spring 2014 - Do or Don't?

It's definitely a DO and is much more tasteful than Chanel's, IMO.

    are these south sea pearls

What Pearl Dreams suggested for better photos will give precise judgement. I enlarged the pictures and suspected the left as freshwater due to its eggy shape. The one on the right is probably freshwater too because of the shape and ridges.
