    Exotics!!!

Maybe you could find the kind of enhancer finding that enables for you to wear it as a pendant too. Because such an exotic drop would look gorgeous on its own too. If the coins were mine, I would make a twisted multi-row strand from smaller fw-s or even seeds (4-5mm maybe) and add few coins to...

Blaire and Pattye: Yes, i did find about the existence of unique Sea of Cortez pearls here in the forum. Before joining, I kept coming back for hours and hours of reading. What is so great here in the forum, is that I do not even have to look for better pearls, I just keep coming across them...

    Exotics!!!

This is not as good as from PP's, but still I would call it an exotic :). Actually, was lucky to get it. We ordered some simple fw strands for crafting and added few pendants and earrings to the order. Ordered a lavender pendant and this is what I got ;) Maria

    White Freshwater Baroque

Fabulous pearls - the "real" thing :) ShashiRatna, I am not expert, but just happened to read an old thread some time ago, explaining the orient. I think you could find it searching the forum using "overtone vs orient". The way I understand it, the overtone is one extra colour some pearls...

    Baby South Sea Pearls

To my untrained eye, the one on the right has sharper reflection, so I think Akoya. Yet again it also reflects more "yellowish" tone starting from the bottom. But I use laptop, so I cant exactly trust my monitor. ... nor eyesight :D Maria .

    pretty clasp just need pearls

... but be careful, knotting, like pearls, is very addictive-better than a video game! ... That is so true :):). First neclace was hard - making the knot close on the right spot. But since then fun fun fun... Maria

    Exotics!!!

Hi Mervione! Hard to say where in Stockholm the shop was :). It was about half a year ago and we were looking a different kind of jewelry shop... Defenetly in the city shopping area, I think in the area with the more expensive brand shops. They had a lot overpriced akoyas (and not that pretty)...

    Exotics!!!

I did go thorough the previous posts and checked the link (thanks Pearl dreams :) ), but I quess still missed the info if the exotics were just polished or also luster treated this time. Only exotic fw-s I've seen in person, were a little baroque type earrings in a shop in Stockholm. So I'm...

    Large Thai rounds

I did check some web pages of the member vendors since I first posted to have better idea what such large cultured pearls should cost. The reasons I started doubting if they were real in the first place were their size, the cleanness and how well they were matched versus the price. Now I...

    Large Thai rounds

The Jeremy Shephard's pairs are just gorgeous! The colour of the pearls I started the thread about was maybe a little darker than the 1th pair from the left. Unfortunately, these are gone from the store. So I took pictures from few others of that type and large size. The pics are not good - out...

    Large Thai rounds

Thanks Nerida! Actually I was thinking if the pearls could be faux. But to sell for such a price? It could take a small company (owning few shops in different small citys) to go under if performing such fraud would come out to public. I will try to get a pic tomorrow. Could you advise where...

    Large Thai rounds

Hi! I am new to the forum and this is my first post here. I would like to ask your opinion about some pearl earring set I saw in a local shop. Unfortunately, I do not have a picture to post. I'll try to describe them. The pair is perfectly matched, large, ca 15mm perfect round to the eye. The...
