Adeline, the earrings are exquisite! I would love to see a photo of them being worn... I think your grey pondslimes are naturally colored, and yes, you are correct that the other group is comprised of grey/blue (again I am sure natural) colored baroque akoyas.

Welcome to the forum, May and Mike... this is a natural inclusion, and just like diamonds, the fewer inclusions, the more valuable the pearl. Mother nature's hand!

Pattye, A lot of the souffl? pearls that I have seen have bits of chipped nacre - it takes a lot of picking to find really good strands, and they are still not really plentiful. I bought quite a few singles, and some which have paired very well (large, 16mm or so) but only a few strands so far...

Jodie - they are worth keeping, don't you think? They look great on you (oh, to have a young young neck..) and the colors liven up as expected when worn. I would wear them for a while and see if they grow on you - you won't lose if you resell them later on.
