What to do with drilled through Kasumis when earhooks have wire for half drilled?

That's a tough one. You may have to cut anyway and use the head pins anyway, depending on the drill holes in the pearls vs. the size of the peg. You could have the holes expanded, but I would find 22k head pins, cut the pearl pegs off (save them!!! you can put them into a scrap gold...

    The designer's corner

Thanks everyone! The 100" is long gone. It found a very happy owner. Hopefully the other one will too!

    The designer's corner

Gradually would be an understatement!!! I've been buying and selling pearls for about, well for how ever long I've been on PG. Before that it was all stones. I used leftovers, spares, drilled some Tahitians, and just knotted until I ran out of silk. (for now). The clasp is probably from...

    The designer's corner

Also put this together with the last of my Sea of Cortez pearls. I was also making a pair of keishi studs with the last two SC, and accidently drilled all the way through one. Sob, sob. Anyone have any interest in a singleton? Guys? Girls?

    The designer's corner

Started knotting while watching March Madness hoops today. Didn't make it to 100" but this one is 71". Mixed freshwaters (all natural colors) and some Tahitians, as well as some random gemstone beads. Finished it with a basket clasp so you can clasp it around any pearl that will fit. Not...

    One Crazy Mikimoto Strand!

I've seen Sarah wear a cross body strand before. I think it was Tahitians, but it could have been a mix.

    Etsy seller's pearls

Tahitians can be white, but these aren't they. Wrong shapes, wrong skin, wrong price. Bead nuc freshies. I like them if they were properly listed. (and priced)

    freshwater nucleated pearls, maximal size

I love that diamond and the setting. Especially the angular shank. Here I am a hop, skip and a jump from Santa Monica. I think I'll drop in sometime soon and see up close!

Should they stay or should they go????

I think that's a pretty nice strand for the price. I've seen a lot worse for a lot more.

    ANGELINA JOLIE in Stunning Pearls!!!!!

I think they're studs and that 1) the ear lobe holes are low and 2) that the pearls are so large on her ear lobes that they hang. I have small eat lobes and the hole positionns cause 10/11mm pearl studs to sag.

Help! I am boring and have no nose!

The post title cracked me up. The picture reminded me of me. Here's one of very early post/pics from August 2008. I think I had joined in June. These were all the pearls i owned. My father had just brought a couple strands back from China at my request. Now I realize some were very early...

Best South Sea Pearl Online Vendors???

Rent, brand name -- you name it. The grading system is not uniform. You would do best to look at the information section on the PG guide and read up about the grades and what they mean, the different colors etc. Look around and really educate yourself as much as you can, then set a budget...

    grey faceted Tahitian pearl ring

I like the setting a lot, but I'd like it better if the pearl wasn't faceted. I guess I'm the lone NAY!

A Kamoka Pearl for only $10? - Maybe....

Sorry to burst your Pearl Dreams (lol), but I was contacted by Passports along with the donor, and then the donor contacted me. I think everyone has been notified, because if you don't claim your prize in 3 days you lose your prize.

A Kamoka Pearl for only $10? - Maybe....

I didn't. I won a Sony camera, that I didn't know I bid on. I'd like to see the list, because I must have checked the wrong box!!!! In any case, it will come in handy, or make a nice gift and I love supporting this cause. I think it's an amazing way to help our world neighbors.
