    Black Pearl Necklace Value

Hard to tell in these photos, but they look like freshwater to me, which means they are dyed to that color. Pics for more info!

    The designer's corner

Thank you, thank you! I got the tourmaline from an amazing gem dealer that Sarah sent me to at the Santa Monica show. The website is http://www.bonitacreations.com/http://www.bonitacreations.com/, but in-person there are amazing quality gem beads that defy websiteness. Here's what I did with...

    The designer's corner

Haven't put anything up in a long time... Here's some gorgeous Brazilian Tourmaline with South Sea pearls. I triple drilled the pearl for the drop. Is it pearl slaughter?

    Ugliest pearl and jewellery competition.

Back to the top. That Etsy listing says "wild natural freshwater pearls" but there is a nucleated bead clearly showing in many of the pearls.

    Hawaii Pearls

That sounds high to me. Maybe it is the diamonds. Does that include a chain, and do you need one? For that much money, I'd want to work with someone on the pendant to get just what I wanted.

    Hawaii Pearls

I haven't dealt with them directly, but have cruised their store many times. It's the same as any brick and mortar store, imho, you will pay more for what you get, and just because they deal in a lot of pearls, doesn't always mean they know a lot. A friend of mine received a strand for a gift...

    Pearl Engagement Ring

Na Hoku has some interesting settings, but I think their pearls are over priced and you have to be the one to choose. Maui Divers, the same. Maybe if you can pick them out it's one thing, but my experience with several Maui Diver stores in different locales isn't that impressive. If you see a...

    Keshi love at first sight

The other ones look like Sea of Cortez keishi. If they aren't you found some really nice substitutes.

    Baroque Tahitian Strand from PP

Great to see these together! Now wear them that way if you have the urge. We should be the pearl trend-setters, and the trend should be - if you love them, wear them!!

    Etsy seller - CebuPearls

I think Etsy is stricter than Ebay if you go to them with a problem. I'm sad that it's grown so big though that there are so many scammers there. I still do my pearl police thing when I feel like there is a "real" person on the other end.

    Dyed?

How dark s it? Is it cofined to he hole. Could it be where the pearl was marked for the drill hole?

    Kasumi-ish pearl grading?

    Should I redesign inherited pearls?

My pearls need to be restrung, and their are spaces. The enhancer actually works better when there are no spaces, as it has a rather large opening to accommodate the pearls etc. it is too "dangly" on these pearls strung as they are right now.
