My vote is for going with the first version - it was just too exquisite. Not to say that the second one is not lovely too. But if I had to choose between the two.......Hey, can't you have one of each? :D

I like this version too, but would have LOVED it had I not seen the first version...if you know what I mean. The uninterrupted stark whiteness of the white keshis contrasting with the larger darker Tahitian baroques was just too striking, I suppose! Am immensely enjoying Lisa's "lover" comments...

Yes, I thought so too....but apparently those tortoises live for a 100+ years, whereas this little fella was over 500 years old when it was accidentally killed...

It definitely is innovative work, I agree....and Dave very clearly explained and taught it to us all. And he involved us all into this very interesting perspective of using color palettes to analyse pearl color tones. Thank you so much, Dave and thanks Lisa for posing that question. :)

Thanks Dave - I truly enjoyed this, even though I did not get all of them right. One thing is for sure from now on: whenever I look at pearls, I will be visualising their color palettes...thanks for bringing this dimension into our mindsets..:)
