    Big Dubai meeting.....Big deal

I will be missing that conference by a week! bleh. I do a lot of research and personal shopping and it appears that women 40 and younger don't seem to be interested in pearl necklaces per se, they think that they are old-fashioned and only old women wear them. However, they are interested in...

Freshadama peach / pink 11-12mm pearl

Hi all, I have request for a 11-12mm freshadama pendant, peachy-pink preferably. Any suggestions?

Which one looks purdier..AAA or freshadama?

I agree that I prefer Freshadama and buy them for my customers (I'm a personal shopper). Akoyas, although lovely are just too perfect in my humble opinion. Freshadama, as stated above, have more character and orient. You feel like you can wear them at any time and still feel totally glam...

    Mikimoto "Pearls in Motion" video

I had a chance to examine quite a few of the Mikimoto pearls recently and saw something I thought was pretty ingenius. A small ring about 4/8" of an inch across which doubles as a hidden clasp is hung from one end of a chain. A pearl at the other end of the chain (a pearl with a cuff/bezel)...

    Etsy

I have bought several items on Etsy and have found it to work just fine. It is a really fun site where you can buy the most unusual pieces. When I have a few moments I like to browse at some of the stuff for sale. I'm constantly amazed at the high quality of craftmanship you find. Have fun!

What do you reach for most?

I usually wear single pearl pendants...my dream is to put together a rope length necklace of 7-8mm. I adore ropes! Not sure that I want to go the Akoya route though. Still dreaming of my 12mm pistachio! Will meet with a pearl expert next week when he is in Montreal, he has exquisite taste in...

Where is it possible to see pearls from the Cook Islands?

Cook Island Pearls.... Cook Island Pearls.... hey all, I read about them in Antoinette Matlin's book THE PEARL BOOK on page 93. By the way, the silvery pearls with the rosy overtone sounds delightful! I saw a nice dove grey pearl recently but it was not nicely mounted with an overly large...

Where is it possible to see pearls from the Cook Islands?

Hey all, as a pearl aficionado, I just read that the Cook Islands produce pearls that are "dusty rose". Anyone know anything about them? I collect single pearls in the 12mm range. Wish list? A nice pistachio, aubergine, and a seafoam to begin with. I just picked up a lovely 12mm...

Hi there, yes there are lots of budgies in Canada, mostly the smaller ones although you will occasionally find the bigger British ones here. My mom has one. Mine is called pickles and she is a circus budgie! We made her a jungle gym with paper towel tubes and she is always running through them!
