    Pearl Mail

Pearlcat, they look very nice and I like the golden dyed coines very much. I have bought pearls a couple of times from them and have been very satisfied with them. Let us know once they arrive if they are like the pictures show them to be...

    Pearls on Etsy

Hi members, perhaps the "Tahitian" with the coin pearls refers rather to their colour? The second picture are dyed freshwaters, if real at all... The price for the coin bracelet is ridiculous. I wonder if this seller ever can succeed in selling any pearls at all. But may be the ? are not...

    some FWP klonks!

Very nice pictures, Yikai. I like that model of digital caliper you have there as well. For the pearls, amazing sizes but just too large for my taste!

    100 Inch Rope Challenge!!

Hi Boo, that seems to be a great idea. I have to check if it would work for me even though for the moment I don?t have the needed material - pearls. Thanks.

    100 Inch Rope Challenge!!

Hi members, I really love to hear that you are going to try to do ropes of 100" however then some of you have to come forward with advice on how to lengthen the silkthread or Power Pro in an easy fathomable way - I have asked this before and got the answer that the knotter in question had the...

    PP new site design

Thanks for the explanations. However, I hope you will have a less aggressive colour on the buttons, the blue draws all attention from the pearls.

The Las Vegas Edition 100 Inch Strand from Miki

Could you explain Mikimoto?s different grading scale, please? I would have thought that A1 was the best:p but as I never bought anything from them I did not bother to investigate until now...:)

    Pearl sizes and PowerPro

Lauren, you are absolutely right! I haven?t thought about it so much but it is true - my knots are a little bit from the place the ought to be and pulling the two strands apart lets the knot glide elegantly to the pearl and it does not look stiff at all! Thanks for describing this!

    Using for tools holder??

Thanks Caitlin and Pattye for your funny comments - indeed ice cream tastes deliciously, however using the ice cream box is working so great because the plastic is very soft and so I can squeeze it in my drawer in my special "pearl closet" with a lot of drawers. I also use tool-boxes, special...

    Pearl sizes and PowerPro

Hi Pearlcat, why don?t you use doubled thread as most of us do? Is there some special reason? The doubled thread also takes the double weight so it makes the necklace even more safe...:)

    PP new site design

I can appreciate the work it must have taken to get everything together but I did like it better the way it was before even if navigation is easier now. You know the saying: less is more... the site with its many items lacks the elegance and background from earlier. Each and every one of the...

    Pearl sizes and PowerPro

Hi Julie, you will get there very soon I believe. It is not the knots that will get that result but the MATCHING AND the knots. My advice: do train your eyes to get that "floating" image by matching the size and the thickness of the pearls and you will be there in no time....:):)

    Pearl sizes and PowerPro

Hi Julie, of course there is no necklace with invisible knots, it was perhaps not quite what I wanted to express but in general with Power Pro the case is that the larger the pearls, the "smaller" the knots look. That goes for sizes that are not too thick, of course. As I said before, 15 - 30...

    Freshwater vs Tahitian

Hi members, I too think that the above strand with the left bend are the Tahitians. However, if I can get a freshwater strand with those lovely "Tahitian"-colours, this might be a good way to get pearls much cheaper and still getting a certain "Tahitian-feeling".
