    The Autore auction is happening now. The first tender closes this evening and the second one closes tomorrow. The results will be available in a few days, so we'll see where they are now.

    The appear to be akoya pearls. I agree with PD, there is nothing that indicates they are from the Mikimoto brand.

    I have seen a natural strand of pearls with a similar pearl at GIA Bangkok. There was a single freshwater pearl mixed in with a strand of naturals, described as intentionally placed within the strand as a sort of marker.

    We haven't experienced color fading as far as I'm aware. Hisano has a number of special pieces that are just as beautiful today as they were the day she got them.
