Recommendations for a a jeweler to bling a nice strand?

Pearl Paradise shows diamond pave clasps and diamond rondelles on their website. They've done custom work for many people, I'm sure you won't have any problems.

And I thought I had a lot of pearls. :D The necklace with the spinel/black beads -- are those Edisons?

    Pearl Diary

I've known other people who buy commercial jewelry and then have it reset with better pearls. I can think of Ann King orchid earrings, for example. Your lion pendant is fantastic, as is the bird ring. Do you buy the loose pearls at night market, as well?

Any earrings? Do you wear pearl studs with your strands?

    My pearls

I love that black/white strand with the Tahitian drop. I may copy that, and hope we don't run into each other. ;)

    Seller’s regret

I've had sellers regret for things I've sold on eBay -- and I simply remind myself of the reasons why I sold it. I'd rather have sellers regret than buyers remorse. :)

Ah, the soul of a poet. And lovely skin (apologies if that sounds weird). My favorite is the whipping cream. I'm not sure if I would wear it or just display it on my desk and admire it. You have an amazing collection!

I agree, it looks like a photo from a travel magazine. But, shouldn't "pearl dairy" have milk-white pearls? (j/k, I love a good typo). :D

    South Sea?

I bought mine from Pearl Paradise during one of their sales (Black Friday? not sure). Send them an email and ask since it won't be on their website. Mine is a 9mm pearl, so not huge, but it's a nice pearl and perfect for summer.

    SSP offered by Costco

This reminds me of the fable about boiling a frog. Start with cool water. I may try this on my orphan earring, because I could use the pearl in a cage pendant. (I did try the microwave method without success.)

    Documentation for pearls?

Pearl grading is subjective -- one person's AAA is another's AA. With practice, you can tell the difference between freshwater and saltwater pearls, and you can measure with a caliper. Ebay has taught me to be skeptical of any COA.

    SSP offered by Costco

I've been thinking about a mismatched set -- pairing with a white pearl doesn't look right, so it would have to be a Tahitian. My current T studs are too small, though. I've also toyed with the idea of sending it to PP to see if they could match it; a cousin, more or less.

    SSP offered by Costco

I have a single GSS pearl stud (lost the mate) that I cannot release from the post. It is on to stay! Something for Zowie to consider.

Fully drilled pearls set as pendants/earrings

Well, half-drilled pearls are set on a pin, plus adhesive. It's not only about the pin, which can be small.

Share your Pearl Paradise Private Launch Purchases!

I'm not a fan of competitive shopping, either. For myself, these launches are all about what was offered. I did like the Tahitian pendants.

It seems a shame to pay for gold that you don't need or want, because even than tiny amount of gold is part of the price. I have some Akoya studs purchased from Costco several years ago. They are fine and I wear them frequently, but I have seen better quality Akoya studs at higher prices. I...
