If you have a wSS pearl, you should be able to tell when they are side by side with a FWP. I have a wSS that glows in the dark, like the moon. I've never seen a FWP do that.

I'm not a matchy-matchy person. I tend to wear pearl drop earrings with a pearl pendant instead of a strand. I'll wear gold earrings with a strand. I tend to wear pearl studs when I'm not wearing any other jewelry. My choices usually match for color. I mix my gSS with natural golden Akoyas, etc.

I agree. I don't think salt water would harm pearls, but it will degrade the silk thread or cord. Also, didn't someone suggest a salt water rinse when washing pearls? There are a lot of surfers wearing pearls, seems like they would have said something. :D
