I visited that one a lot. I'm glad it found a good home.

Don't fret Douglas! I want to set it in a way that doesn't hide the color shift to green that's near the edges. I thought I want's a ring, but I'm kind of a beast with my hands, so it may have to be a pendant. I troll the forum looking for ideas.

Glad you made it through the double whammy. The necklace really pops against that shirt.

I like that idea. I've been seeing it as a trend with male entertainers and athletes for a while. At first, the only thing I saw men wearing were single pearls on leather cords. Lately I've noticed a lot of young men in tiny pearls. I feel like going up to men in pearls to complement them...

I knew it was a Kojima piece! I love it. I have a long Kojima strand with a Tahitian/coral/lapis/other mix. It's my favorite fun piece.

Used the photos you thoughtfully provided to show a local jeweler what I wanted to order. Not many shops stock a variety, and online catalogues don't always photograph them at useful angles. Thank you!

Thank you so much. The hinged kind that snaps shut is exactly what I had in mind. Now I have a project for the week!

I've been absent, and I was feeling particularly icky today, so I decided to indulge in self-care by viewing SurfnSci's beautiful Kasumis and Tahitians, and jeg's combos. Jeg, I have a few bead necklaces and a big fat drop pearl with a bale that is a little too small to slip over them. Is the...

    Are these real?

Here's an example from an amethyst piece found online. I'm basically low tech, but I sometimes hit vintage stores for fun, and discovered something most of you probably know already: If you have an android phone, go to the google search bar and use the little camera icon (not your phone's camera...

    Are these real?

That's exactly what it is. It was a widely-used clasp by Honora and Fortunoff, among others.

Love all of the light and airy pieces you've been wearing. It's been so humid in NY that I can't tolerate anything heavier than a tiny Akoya keshi strand.

    Tahitians?

Just a thought. If you really like the pearls and/or can't return them, what about repurposing them into a multistrand bracelet? You can go as wild as you like with the thread color, and you'll wear the piece where you can see it easily.

Thank you. As soon as I saw the wrap my fingers were flying across the keyboard ("It's Mine)!

I know I need better light and longer arms, but I was very excited about this. The wrap is vintage Akoyas and tiny tourmalines from Kojima's live event at PP. I bought it to pair with my grandmother's vintage Akoyas. The strand is about 32" long. The pearls are not graduated and are nicely...
