Tahitian Pearl jewelry without breaking bank? Etsy?

I don't think you are going to be able to get a Tahitian necklace for under $150, of any quality. The lowest I have seen for individual strands is around $100 and, then, you would need a clasp and knotting. I would contact Wen Pearls on Etsy, as they have some inexpensive Tahitian pearls and may...

Advice on stringing some gemstone beads, please?

An alternative might be to use a very small crochet hook. Instead of pushing the needle through the jump ring, use the hook to pull a loop of the thread through and use that to tie a knot and start the next strand of the tassel. Clear as mud?

    HEY everyone!

Before even thinking of buying wholesale pearls, I recommend a lot of studying and looking at a lot of pearls of all different qualities. Otherwise, you are apt to lose a lot of money in this endeavour.

Advice on stringing some gemstone beads, please?

Maybe this is pretty obvious, but work from the inside out. Otherwise, you will go crazy. Also, do you plan on using all the outside rings? It may be better to use every other ring.

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Lately, I've been doing a lot of sitting around and waiting. And I don't do waiting well - I need to be doing something. So, it was the perfect time to master knotting a long rope. This was the result. The knotting visibly improves along the length and I did have some trouble managing the...

Ebay Chinese Pearl Buying Adventure Part 2

White gold is particularly tricky to acid test, since it is usually plated. You would need to remove the plating with some fine sandpaper or something in a discreet, unseen corner to make sure you are testing the gold, not the rhodium. And, yes, antique 14k can test at 13.5 but that hasn't been...

Advice on stringing some gemstone beads, please?

I usually do a continuous loop, like BWeaves says, knotting at the top but not cutting the thread. Then, I tie off the last one top. I don't use crimp beads, as things are already pretty crowded in there. As well as doing the skipped bead method, there are plenty of antiques where the thread is...

    Are these really South Sea

In my point of view, the main problem is not the regulations themselves, which are generally pretty detailed in jewelry, but the total lack of enforcement. FTC has determined that stone treatments should always be disclosed and we all know how that goes. Pearls should also be well described...

    Are these really South Sea

The description says South Sea but they look a lot like freshwater to me. https://www.etsy.com/listing/95135781/superb-radiant-big-white-tahitian-south?utm_source=Pinterest&utm_medium=PageTools&utm_campaign=Share If it helps, the price originally was $199.
