The pinks are dyed freshwater rice pearls. The other strand seem to be white freshies, as well. Considering the large size difference and unknotted, I am guessing that these were strays or left over from other projects and temporarily strung for safe keeping.

It is a lovely pendant and I can see why you wear it often. The blue compliments the colour of the pearl, which goes to show what a gamble this is. It wouldn't be as lovely if the pearl was greenish, for example.
