    They are flat backed fresh water pearls. Fire mountain gems sells these pearls in strands. The clasp too. I inherited my mum’s pearl craft room she has some of these pearls and clasps. Not the only vendor who has them. I know she shopped with them a lot. Welcome to the Forum. Cheers!

    Shakespeare set Romeo and Juliette during the 15th century portion of the Italian renaissance. "Juliette caps" looked more like this in the 15th century. Look at the pearls wrapping around the braid case down the back a and how they are adorning the cap itself. Her belt too! Sigh.

    Beautiful pearls and that clasp is lovely Size and length also matter when stringing. As mentioned before not everyone adheres to a knot between each pearl. It will be prettier just a tad longer I think. Because of that clasp. Which may also double as a focal point. Best of luck...
