My first knotting project - taught by a master!

Thank you, Redwood66! I wouldn't say it was hard on my first try - I felt more awkward, until I began to find a rhythm. It'll take much more practice to become second nature, but practice is fun and addictive, as Lady_D has pointed out!

My first knotting project - taught by a master!

BWeaves, you read my mind!! I just ordered a bunch of ivory and cream Beaders Secret. But I think I'll reduce it to 100", and combine the left overs with another type of pearl or gemstones... we'll see... thank you!!

My first knotting project - taught by a master!

I recently return from 2 weeks in Portland Oregon. While I was there our own dear Pattye agreed to teach me how to knot! After a couple meetings at her lovely home, AND a couple yummy lunches we played with pearls!! I practiced and became familiar with materials and tools, but decided to work...

    Three new Tahitian baubles

I was going through my stash to determine what I'd bring to the Ruckus. I found my grandmother's natural seed pearl guards and slipped them on with the rings. I think they might work better than diamond guards!! Although maybe with added diamonds to the white gold band...hmmm

    Three new Tahitian baubles

Thank you, SunSeeker and GemGeek! It was very thrilling to know I didn't have to go out and buy a chain to match the Pendant - we all know how rare that is. And Gem Geek, speaking of good omen Ruckus shopping, I often wear the lovely natural pearl necklace I bought from you last year - THAT...

    Three new Tahitian baubles

Thank you, Ladonna Rama! I'm really enjoying them! Katbran, I agree. I like the simplicity of that enhancer - I think I may buy a couple more in different sizes for other pendants.

    Three new Tahitian baubles

Thanks for the suggestion BWeaves. I have that enhancer and use it quite a lot, but it won't fit through the narrow connection channel. In fact, some chains are too wide/thick to thread through. I might need to have one made specifically for that narrow channel.

    Three new Tahitian baubles

Thanks, Icy! The rings are all the same size, but they slide around a bit on my ring finger - perhaps a bit top heavy. They're more stationary when worn on my middle finger. I like the options.

    Three new Tahitian baubles

Thanks, Cathy! I like the pendant on the chain, as well. I really like that I can wear it either way, providing I can find that elusive connector!

    Three new Tahitian baubles

Thank you everybody for your kind comments and suggestions! This is what I originally had in mind for the pendant and strand... an elegant drop of a few millimeters below the strand. I like the formal look sometimes, but worn on a chain makes it more every day. I don't think I'd wear the...
