Purlgurl - Those are quite lovely! What a great array of colors. I think sorting through pearls and/or spotting the less amazing ones is just the badge of honor which comes from reading on PG and studying for awhile. I don't know about you, but this is the most fun studying I have ever done!

Those are lovely earrings - and a very nice gift! Great design. Once you get up and running on Photoshop, you'll be amazed at even just using the automatic balancing tools for color correction.

I don't know how much "play" you want in a drill hole, although ideally not too much since you don't want to introduce unnecessary wear around the drill hole. Here is a LINK to a conversion chart for wire diameters including gauge, inches and millimeters.
