Looks like a pretty good deal to me. I can't find any obvious flaws and they seem like real Akoya. It can be hard to tell these days but they don't look like FW to me.

I agree that most are certainly freshwater pearls, both the rice crispie shape and the larger circled ones. Their value is in the fun design. I am not sure what the necklace with all round pearls is. First impression is very loved Akoya with the nacre worn away.

What I don't understand is why it's strange to prefer to go to pearl meet rather than stay with in-laws??? :-)

Thank you all for the kind words! I was surprised of how many loose pearls I had when I gathered earrings and pendant I don't use and a charms bracelet that serves the purpose of keeping my random SSP together. And the charms bracelet is still fully functional. I'll take a close-up tomorrow.
