Those are lovely circle pearls - great colour, and a nice size for a bracelet. . I find my circles and baroque pearls much more wearable than my round pearls. There’s something appealingly informal and arty about them.

Baroques are a good idea. And to my eye, baroque akoyas aren’t usually very baroque (unlike other pearl types) - so you still get that shiny round pearl look, but at a much more affordable price. These are really big for akoyas and would have great impact when worn, but are still within budget...

What a thoughtful gift. As others have suggested, I think slightly larger pearls (8mm+) would be best if you can get them within budget. A good strand of akoyas is a big investment, but will last decades. And 18-22 Inches should be a nice length and in proportion.
