Eolian, the leather and pearls look great! I love the colours and graduated size. Great combo. Pearl Dreams, your strands look magnificent! Yesterday I wore a cheapie freshwater rope that I bought as a trial to help me decide if I’m a rope person. I think I’m probably not, but I enjoyed wearing...

Bweaves, I’m so happy to see your lovely kasumi earrings and ripples again. Those pacific pearl ripples are one of my favourite strands here. The perfect ripple strand is still on my pesky endless wish list, though it’s dropped down below blue akoyas for now... Jeg, I love the corals with the...

Jeg, that rope is truly lovely - is it new? I don’t recall seeing it before. Pearlie Sue, I often wear my pearls with chains, with no apparent damage. I suppose it might not be good for them long-term, but I’ve not had any immediate issues. Today’s pearls:

Blue akoyas and blue wool are such a happy combination. Eolian and Jeg, your recent posts have sent blue akoyas back to the top of my wish list. Next time I see a strand with decent colour, I’m going to grab it. But for today, bronze freshwaters for me

Jeg, those blue keshi are so very lovely, and your bracelet is marvellous. Red, your pearls are beautiful, and the scarf is just WOW! Christabelle, welcome! Pareltje, so nice to see you - your thread on other gemstones in another part of the forum is one of my favourites. And thank you everyone...

It’s summer here, so I’ve mostly been in pendants or dangly earrings lately - too humid for strands. But it’s cooler today, so I went looking for a strand and found my Edisons. I tend to forget about these, because I’m so crazy about big Tahitians and baroques, but I do enjoy wearing them :)

    My pearls

Love all your new creations, Charlotta! Those blue/green pearls look wonderful with the gemstones. But your poor hands and eyes after all that wire wrapping! Eolian, I am so glad you bought that bracelet - I saw it on release day too, and it seriously, seriously tested my current pearl-buying ban

Eolian, that rope is stunning! One of my favourites. Pretty Tahitians, Lisa. Look forward to seeing what you do with them. Pearlie Sue, beautiful pearls! I agree that the silvery tones would be lovely on your skin tone. I’m fair and pink-toned, too, and silvers always work better on me than the...

    My pearls

What lovely photos you’ve managed to take, despite the low light. Your new rope is beautiful, and the blue ombré looks spectacular, too.

    keep these freshadamas?

I agree that the freshadama are lacklustre next to the akoya, and also with those who have said that the akoya should last a long time (decades) even with daily wear as a necklace, provided you keep them away from sunscreen and perfumes. Personally, I prefer smaller akoyas to larger freshwater...

    My pearls

Gorgeous, Charlotta, all of them. I adore the blue circle pearls from CMW - I bought their sister strand, the bright blue one. But mine is still a bracelet :) Though a few spare pearls from the bracelet are now in my small circled strand.

Happy holidays to everyone! Love your traditional festive colours, Jeg, and the ombré is spectacular. Celebrating summer Christmas here in the Southern Hemisphere. My little circles are still in high rotation at the moment.
