I can't wait to get these

I'll have to caliper them when they come in as it only says the necklace is 22" long but not the size of the individual pearls. (Its not a pearl auction site so they don't label the off round pearl sizes) I don't know how people decide what to do haha. So many choices! I will definitely take...

I can't wait to get these

I just got past the part in the Pearls as One Course with these and flameball (or was it fireball? It's been an incredibly long day) pearls and saw these on auction and I had to have them. Hopefully by the time they get here I will have the course done and I will be able to answer more of those...

    Button Pearl Question

I keep looking at necklaces online and its so hard online because they all look so perfect blemish wise. I am used to looking for little things and I don't see them! I think Buttons are growing on me, they are really neat and seem to have so many good uses where a round wouldn't fit as well.

    Button Pearl Question

Ok, this is probably going to sound silly.. I might learn this later on in the pearl course and just haven't gotten there yet but... Why do button pearls all seem to be so similar and have less dimpling? I notice they have much less variance than other kinds.. Just curious

    Pearl Oysters for opening

So I have to admit, after getting half way through the Pearls as One course and learning what I have.. I watched a pearl party tonight. I had the hardest time not railing on these people. They send these "78.00 value" pearls to their "high end jeweler" and he didn't know how to shuck and oyster...

    Pearl Oysters for opening

Thank you! I will write them down. I am actually 22% through the CPAA course and it is fascinating. I can't believe how detailed it is.. and how little I knew about pearls. Before I stumbled upon this group I thought I only saw cultured pearls regularly because I was poor hahah. Turns out that's...

    Pearl Oysters for opening

I actually checked out the "Pearls As One" course last night! I would love to do it but it will have to wait for a while, unfortunately right now I just can't afford it. It sounds like it's worth its weight in gold though if I get the chance!

    Real or Fake?

That is good to know! Unfortunately I could ask but would likely get no response for better pictures. I passed on that one. I will have to keep in mind that not all were knotted.

    First Pearl Necklace

Thank you! I got lucky and one side was fairly unblemished, still definitely some blemishing but not as noticeable as the back portion.
