    Pearls from Scottish river Tay

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I was curious if the brooches were ever determined to be Scottish pearls? Curious because I came across a similar piece.

Natural pearls restricted? Ebay cancelled my shipment.

Thanks Jeremy. I feel bad for the seller. Ebay shut you down fast on stuff like ivory, I am surprised they allow international shipping on a natural listing after reading your explanation. But, note to self, stick to US sellers for any future natural buys.

Need Help Identifying This Type of Pearl

Looks like a river pearl to me, but I am far from an expert. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will comment soon :)

Natural pearls restricted? Ebay cancelled my shipment.

Totally, I already have the refund straight from ebay/paypal. What happened was legit. I don’t think I clarified enough. International sellers who don’t want the hassel of shipping to the US can use eBay’s global shipping where you mail your item to them and they send it across the world...

    My Pearl-a-palooza

Thank you! Funnily, when I started this thread today I thought two other things were showing up in my home mailbox and they didn’t. Guess it’s a delayed palooza ;)

Wondering if the ban on Scottish pearls triggered s no natural black and white rule with eBay global shipper.

    My Pearl-a-palooza

I wonder if a modern and affordable version could be made with a fireball pearl hanging from a silver or white gold bow?

    Mississippi river pearls?

Thank you! I will probably get both the 40 and the 30 until I see as it can’t hurt to have extra around IMO. By the way the Golden strand I posted today was done with your gold BS thread. Worked perfect

    Mississippi river pearls?

Hi Pattye, was going to message you through Etsy, but this seems as good a spot as any. What color Beaders Secret thread do you think I should use once I clean them up? Cream or ivory? Not looking forward to knotting 169 pearls, but I think knots will showcase their unique shapes.
