GSS set, aka, "There's no such thing as a free lunch":

Yes! That tin cup with the toggle clasp is made of those very special Ruckus GSS keshi. It's such a beautiful and special piece. My friend has yet to wear her strand! I think she's going to buy the same diamond toggle clasp. The rose is really lovely.

    Did I do good?

Aww, thanks so much for bringing Caitlin into the conversation. I agree. She'd both recommend this, and would be happy to know we're thinking of her with warm memories. I like the size and luster on you! Tolerance, or intolerance, of flaws is purely personal. Your gut tells you if it's a...

GSS set, aka, "There's no such thing as a free lunch":

Oh, thank you all for your very kind words! When I receive the necklace re-strung with the toggle clasp, I'll post some fresh neck shots. I feel so very fortunate that the right combination of events occurred at the exact right time. And I must thank Jeremy and Hisano for their expertise...

I like the 9 mm size. I have a strand, tin cup, and dangle earrings made of pinked Hanadama. They look white on the skin, but I've always wondered if I would have preferred natural white Hanadama...

Thank you pattye, Pearl Dreams and suchi. I can hardly wait to see the strand with it's new toggle clasp! My friend is likely getting the same clasp for her strand.

And finally, a few neck shots (with a temporary ball clasp). First with my Golden Lantern pendant, then with a robe and with a blue nightgown:

Then came the fun of choosing a clasp and designing findings for the ovals. I was fortunate enough to meet with John, Hisano and Jeremy at PP the next month to discuss options. Hisano and I ended up with "sister" diamond toggle clasps for our GSS strand and tin cup. John used 18 carat gold...

I ended up buying this strand and a pair of (even deeper) golden ovals for earrings: Here are both strands pre-strung. Mine is the outer strand:

GSS set, aka, "There's no such thing as a free lunch":

In the Fall, my bff from college treated me to a sushi lunch so we could catch up. Over lunch she admired my baroque silver/blue akoya set, wishing she had pearls other than "black and white" (Tahitian and WSS). She wished she had golden pearls. I asked her if she was serious, because I knew...

    Blue Necklace Complete

What a very special and lovely piece you've created, Cathy! Worth the wait. Your design is inspirational for me. I've been wondering what to do with my engagement diamond, since I don't wear my engagement and wedding rings any more (for those of you newer to the forum, due to Widowhood, not...

    365 Days of Pearls

baby nurse, I think those are the most delicious pictures I've ever seen of your super souffle set. Absolutely stunning. I have a more lavender-tinged set, but my pictures couldn't do the pearls justice. There were a handful of metallic superstrands a few years ago and baby nurse and I each...
