Mikomoto vs Pearl Paradise comparison-- HELP!

I like the bigger pearls on you. Pearl shrinkage syndrome is a real thing! The percentage of akoya pearls with sharp luster goes down as pearls get larger. That makes the PP strand a real bargain in comparison to the Miki. The cost for the A1 strand in the larger size would be huge. I'd like to...

Trying to calculate age of Mikimoto silver pearl bead necklace 35 inches

I agree that they don't look like Mikimoto pearls. Can you post a closeup on a white paper towel or a white piece of paper? Coiling the strand will let us see more pearls up close in one shot. Thank you! :)

    Need help

Even though it's close, there aren't enough details visible at this size to tell what type of pearl, or to verify if they are pearls because the camera is focused on the background. If you are using a cell phone, try tapping one of the pearls to focus on it and take the photo on white paper or a...

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Jeg, I love that you show a photo wearing the pearls and then a close up. The yellow and blue combinations do look super-summery and the keshi are scruptious!

    My small pearl rainbow

The structure of horn abalone pearls makes them delicate and subject to degrading over time when worn. Their potential durability can be hard to evaluate. It's all about creating a setting that will protect your lovely pearl. Disadvantage is the cost. Advantage is hiding the parts that aren't as...
