Yes, it does. It has a nice flame pattern.
Thank you. Was hoping someone would confirm. Not very knowledgeable on Conch or Melo Melo beauties, but been researching and not very commonly found. Let’s hope what I receive is this. Previously I had purchased what they described as a Melo Melo, but in fact was a stone that was dyed and resin coating applied. Returned.

You're living dangerously! Let us know when you receive the conch. The photo is indeed of a pale pink conch pearl with pervasive flame. What are its dimensions and weight?

I know. The rock sold as Melo Melo was a different seller. This one featured dimensions and weight are: 8.7x 5.1 x 3.2mm, (1.05 CARATS). Not big at all, and perfect for the piece of jewelry I’m working on. I will post pic post arrival.

Great. The 9x5mm face of the pearl is actually not that small. Sounds like you have a good plan for it.

This is the item that was sold to me as a Melo Melo. I had no knowledge on non nacreous pearls, Once I researched more on them, I did not want to take a chance and shipped back for a refund.

I have no idea what this is, but it did not look like any Melo Melo I have seen. Curious tho

From Beauty to the Beast!

Glad you researched, and that you got your money back. A seller of that sort and a money-back policy would seem antithetical.

Yeah, it reminds me of the biscuits served at Red Lobster. He also has amongst many, these I uploaded. Any clue as to what this is? I thought of maybe Tridacna pearl. But the look is not as smooth looking. All pics are being sold as Melo Melo.

I would just cross that seller off my list and be thankful for the conch. And don't buy a Melo Melo pearl without a certificate from a top gem lab. There are too many fakes out there. Of course, that also means paying market price.

Glad you're not disappointed. Look forward to seeing it set!
I am waiting on the shell ring I ordered to start the project. I have attached some pics since you have way more knowledge than I on non nacreous pearls to determine if they are Melo Melo. Not purchasing, but some look like non Melo Melo or even pearls. More like stones.

It's attractive, and that conch was the perfect shape for its intended home. It would be interesting to see the shell ring prior to your enhancements, also a photo of the finished ring on finger. Are the pearls epoxied in place?

Yes, pearls are in place. I may just leave it as is. It’s already pretty busy looking. The ring had a glass sphere with a pearlescent coating. Pretty, but I purchased ring for the conch pearl to be homed there. I’m not into all that bling, but somehow it worked out.

I just realized you may have the little pearls that are in between and not part of the miniature strand of pearls. No, I had them there holding the strand in place but removing. Also cleaning out some glue gunk residue.

I made some changes to the ring setting, and now pearl is more secure. I used a 925 Silver Coral twig as prong setting, reassembled the tiny freshwater pearl rondelles as well. But noticed two little wires right beneath the rhinestone star that drives me nuts. Will work on that. Was on my way to work and stopped at the not unusual Miami traffic, so figured to take the pics with ring on my finger. Feel much better now pearl is secure.
