Define tested? I did some of what the internet lists to try. It bounces pretty high, like a foot maybe 2. It did not smell or burn under a flame
. I don’t think it feels gritty but I don’t think my known to be a pearl feels gritty.
No, I am not sure at all. I know next to nothing about pearls. It does not have any drill holes or anything that indicates it was set or fixed to anything. I didn’t know pearls even got this big so I assumed it to be man made as well. However, the luster and density seem consistent with my experience of pearls so I’ve been perplexed for a few weeks now and have thought about taking it to a jewelry store and asking but Luckily I found you guys.
