Novice Jewelry maker. What size do most dangle findings come in?

To clarify, I am looking to create a dangle pair of Tahitian earrings, and I have to select the drill hole size. Is there a commonly used finding diameter which is used?

Any help is appreciated!

Most commonly used drill hole size is .8mm. Findings can vary though, like the size of the posts on studs or caps/bails.

Thanks! I feel like I am walking through a landmine of information!

The smart thing might be to get the findings first. It seems like the moment I am sure a finding will fit, it is too small. There are pearl drill reams that can make a hole slightly bigger (look on the Lowly Beaders threads) but filling a too big hole....jewelers might have tricks, maybe...or might need a new finding or custom finding.
