My love for gemstones started on TV on a channel that sells gemstones and jewelry. I bought my first gemstone at the age of 14 a 2.66 carat Amethyst after that I was hooked. My love for jewelry was always there but really started after I had poured some aluminum in some random shapes and ended up having one that I started to play with and that’s when the “Alu-Blue Droplet” was born. I had not really heard a lot about alternative metal jewelry but as I began researching I thought why not! Give it a go and share my passion & love for jewelry and gemstones with others. I earned a Introduction to Gemology/Gemologist Apprentice Certificate from the International School of Gemology, and have taken gemology course work by Prof Emer. Barbara Smigel PhD, GG from her personal website; I have also earned a Certified Pearl Specialist Certificate from the Cultured Pearl Association of America.
